The LED light on your Tibber Bridge shows the device's current status. Its colour and blinking pattern can help you identify connection, installation or power issues.
What do the LED colours mean?
| LED colour | Status |
|---|---|
| White | Bridge is starting up |
| Green | Bridge is connected and active |
| Blinking green | Bridge is being paired |
| Blue | Bridge is working normally |
| Blinking orange | A software update is being installed |
| Blinking red/purple | No Wi-Fi connection |
| Blinking red/yellow | No connection to Tibber's servers |
| Multiple colours | Bridge needs to be reset |
Bridge is starting up or updating
If the LED is white, blinking green or blinking orange, Bridge is starting up, connecting or installing a software update.
- White: Wait for the LED to change colour.
- Blinking green: Follow the installation steps in the Tibber app.
- Blinking orange: Wait for the software update to finish.
Don't unplug Bridge during a software update.
Bridge is working normally
If the LED is green or blue, Bridge is connected and working as expected. You don't need to do anything.
Bridge has a Wi-Fi connection issue
If the LED is blinking red/purple, Bridge can't connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Check that:
- You're using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Your router uses WPA or WPA2 security, not WPA3.
- The Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.
- You've entered the correct Wi-Fi password.
Bridge can't connect to Tibber's servers
If the LED is blinking red/yellow, Bridge is connected to Wi-Fi but can't reach Tibber's servers.
Check that your internet connection is working. If the problem continues, restart your router and try again later.
Bridge is showing multiple colours
If the LED shows multiple colours, Bridge needs to be reset.
Reset Bridge and reconnect it through the Tibber app. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooting section of your local Tibber Support Center.
