Having trouble connecting your Tibber Pulse, or does it keep showing as offline? A reset may help. Afterwards, you can set up Pulse again in the Tibber app.
When should I reset Pulse?
A reset may help if:
- The installation isn't working.
- Pulse can no longer connect to Wi-Fi.
- Pulse remains offline after troubleshooting.
- You want to set up Pulse again.
Only reset Pulse if other troubleshooting steps haven't resolved the issue.
How do I reset Pulse?
- Open the Tibber app and remove Pulse under Power-ups. Skip this step if the app already shows Connect.
- Disconnect Pulse from your electricity meter's P1 or HAN port.
- Connect Pulse to an external power supply using a micro-USB cable.
- Press and hold the reset button for at least 4 seconds.
- Release the button when the LED turns green.
- Open the Tibber app and go to Power-ups → Tibber Pulse → Connect.
- Follow the installation steps to reconnect Pulse.
If the reset doesn't work the first time, try repeating the process two or three more times.
What happens after a reset?
Resetting Pulse only clears its Wi-Fi settings.
Your historical consumption data and Tibber account settings are not deleted.
After the reset, you'll need to complete the Pulse installation again in the Tibber app.
The reset didn't help
If Pulse remains offline or you still can't see live electricity consumption, check that:
- Your electricity meter's P1 or HAN port is activated, if required.
- Pulse is receiving power.
- You're using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
If the problem continues, contact Support below or via the chat in the app.
Please include:
- Your Tibber Pulse model.
- The colour or blinking pattern of the Pulse LED.
This helps us identify the issue more quickly.
