Is your car not reaching its desired battery level? First, check whether your departure time and charging target are realistic. Smart Charging plans to have your car ready on time, but also depends on the charging power of your car and EV charger.
Check your charging settings
Open the Tibber app and check:
- Your scheduled departure time.
- Your desired battery level.
- Whether Smart Charging is enabled.
If your battery has already reached the desired level, charging will stop automatically.
Is there enough time to charge?
Smart Charging automatically calculates when charging should start. If there isn't enough time between plugging in your car and your departure, it may not reach the desired battery level.
Try plugging in earlier, setting a later departure time or lowering your charging target.
Check your car's settings
Some cars have their own charging limits or schedules. Make sure:
- The charging limit in your car is high enough.
- No charging schedule or timer is active in your car.
For the best results, we recommend disabling your car's own charging schedules and letting Tibber manage charging.
Check your EV charger
Some EV chargers also have settings that can limit charging.
Make sure there are no active charging schedules or limits in your charger's settings that could interfere with Smart Charging.
