Your first Tibber invoice may look different from the ones you receive later. This depends on when your contract starts and how your energy payments are calculated.
Why is my first invoice different?
Your first invoice may cover a shorter period than a full month, or it may include your first fixed monthly payment.
The amount and billing period depend on your energy contract and the payment model used in your country.
Paying for your actual consumption
If you pay for your actual energy consumption, your first invoice generally covers the period from your contract start date to the end of the billing period.
It may include:
- Energy consumed since your contract started.
- Fixed fees for the same period.
- Applicable taxes and grid fees.
Because your first billing period may be shorter, the amount can differ from your later invoices.
Paying a fixed monthly amount
If your contract uses fixed monthly payments, your first invoice may work differently.
Depending on your market and contract:
- Your first payment may be due when your contract starts.
- You may receive an invoice for a partial month and an advance payment for the following month.
- Your monthly payments may later be adjusted or settled against your actual energy costs.
The payment schedule and settlement process depend on your contract.
When will I receive my next invoice?
Your regular billing schedule depends on your market and payment model.
