The Tibber app helps you understand how much electricity you use, when you use it and what it costs. You can explore your consumption over time in Analysis.
Want to monitor your electricity consumption in real time? Discover Tibber Pulse.
What can I see in Analysis?
Depending on your market and connected devices, you can see:
- Electricity consumption: Track how much electricity you use per day, month or year.
- Energy costs: See your estimated electricity costs over time.
- Electricity prices: Explore current and historical electricity prices.
- Solar production and export: Follow the electricity you generate and export to the grid, if supported.
- Consumption insights: Explore estimates of where your electricity goes, such as heating, EV charging or appliances.
- Consumption comparisons: Compare your electricity usage with similar households, where available.
Real-time consumption with Tibber Pulse
With a connected Tibber Pulse, you can monitor your electricity consumption almost instantly.
Without Pulse, your consumption data comes from your grid operator or the relevant metering data provider. These readings are generally updated periodically rather than in real time.
Important: Real-time Pulse readings may differ from the final meter readings used for billing. Official meter data takes priority when calculating your electricity costs.
Why can't I see my consumption yet?
If you've recently joined Tibber, it may take a few days before your first consumption readings appear.
Your consumption data may also be temporarily unavailable if Tibber hasn't received the latest meter readings.
If you're using Tibber Pulse, check that it's powered on, connected to your Wi-Fi network and online in the app.
Why don't the costs match my invoice?
The costs shown in Analysis are estimates based on your electricity consumption and applicable prices.
Your final invoice may differ because:
- Official meter readings can replace earlier estimates.
- Taxes, grid fees and fixed charges may be calculated or displayed differently.
- Corrections or other adjustments may be included on your invoice.
Your invoice contains the final amount you're charged.
Some consumption data is missing
Missing hours or days in your consumption history usually mean the meter readings haven't been received or processed yet.
These gaps may be filled automatically once the missing data becomes available.
If data continues to be missing:
- Check whether your grid operator has registered the missing meter readings, if this information is available to you.
- Make sure your Tibber app is up to date.
- If you use Pulse, check its connection status.
