You can manage how you pay your Tibber invoices in the Tibber app. Available payment methods depend on your country.
Available payment methods
Depending on your market, you may be able to choose between:
- Automatic payments: Your invoice amount is automatically collected from your bank account on the due date.
- Manual payments: You receive an invoice and pay it yourself before the due date.
- Electronic invoicing: In some markets, you can receive and pay invoices directly through your online banking service.
Changing your payment method
You can manage your payment method in the Tibber app:
- Open the Tibber app.
- Go to You.
- Select Payment method or open your account settings.
- Follow the steps to update your payment preferences.
Depending on your market and energy product, you may need to manage certain payments through a separate customer portal.
Changing your bank details
If you use automatic payments, you may also be able to update your bank account details.
Open the payment settings in the Tibber app and follow the available instructions.
In some markets, changing your bank account may require you to cancel your existing automatic payment agreement and set up a new one.
What happens if I have credit on my account?
If you've paid too much or have a credit balance, how it's handled depends on your market.
Your credit may be:
- Automatically deducted from upcoming invoices.
- Refunded to your bank account.
- Paid out separately from any outstanding invoices.
