Easee:

  • No known issues.

Tesla:

  • Pairing issues: Because of some changes in the Tesla API in February, we are currently experiencing some problems. This is related to Tesla rate limiting IP-addresses.
Possible solution: If you use a VPN- or proxy service, please try to turn it off and then try to pair. Might also help to turn on or off WiFi.

BMW:

  • i3: We have some issues with models from 2015-16. They turn off GPS-location, meaning that Smart Charging doesn’t work. We are looking into the issue.

  • Possible issue for customers using the new BMW app. We are looking into the issue.

Volvo:

  • XC40 hybrid: Smart Charging should not be used. This is caused by a Volvo issue where delayed charging will drain the 12V battery. Volvo has also removed delayed charging from Volvo On Call. We are waiting for Volvo to solve this issue.

  • XC40 electric: Not possible to pair in our app. Reason for this is that the car use a different API than the older models. Currently it is not possible to set schedules or directly start/stop charging on this car.

Kia:

  • Mainly 2020-21 models: Smart Charging with Easee may not work for many cars. The reason for this is that the car falls to deep sleep and is not able to wake up when charging starts. The car will start charging if it receives a wake up call from the native app. We are looking into possible solutions to this.

Hyundai:

Renault:

  • Zoe: Smart Charging with Easee may not work. Reason for this is that the car falls to deep sleep and is not able to wake up when charging starts. We are looking into possible solutions for this.

MG:

  • The cars pilot signal is trying to communicate with for example your WiFi-router through Easee chargers. This causes charging to stop. Easee is in contact with MG about this issue.

  • ZS EV: Do no longer support Auto phasemode on chargers. The charger, for example Easee, needs to be locked to 1-phase charging for charging to work with the car.
