The car is not charging at more than 1-3 kW (Only drawing 5A, while the charger offers max) | VAG vehicles have an emergency charging mode where it charges at low speeds if it detects something is wrong. Ice/moisture in the charging port/cable end could be the cause. It is recommend to attempt to dry out the cable/port as much as possible. If ice in the port, a warm bag of water could be held onto the inlet. If the problem persists, car should be checked out by a dealer. This can also be caused by the cable not being properly inserted into charger or car. Or if the car is unlocked (depending on software version) |
Enyaq: The car is not charging at more than 1.8-5.5 kW (Drawing only 8A) | The MEB-platform vehicles have a setting in their app called “Reduced AC charging current” which will limit the charging speed to 6/8A (depending on market). This needs to be turned off to utilize the full power from the charger. Setting is found in the vehicle by going to Home - Charging - Settings. |
On 3-phase IT-network Skoda Enyaq charge unevenly on all three phases. One of the phases has often double the consumption than the other two. | The charging system is designed for 3 phase on TN-grid. When it is offered 3 phase IT-grid, the cars N (neutral) becomes the leader to L1 and it then uses 2 of 3 onboard chargers. These are then connected on L2 and L3 which uses L1 as return conductor. A skewed load is happening and this is controlled by the vehicle. |
Enyaq: Car won't resume charging when charging has been post-poned.
After a firmware/software-update to the vehicle, the Enyaq's onboard charger will hibernate quickly and is unable to resume charging at a later stage. | Unlocking the car and opening a door will wake the car up and make it resume charging.
A more permanent fix is to pull the fuse for the onboard charger for at least 2 minutes and put it back in place. The car should now be able to charge with postponed charging again. |
The car and/or native app is warning about being available due to the battery protection limit. This can happen when the car is not reacting to commands sent to it via the API.
The battery protection limit is there to protect the 12V-battery from draining. | In the Škoda-app, there is a function to limit the number of times the is woken to 3 per day.
This limit may have to be turned off if it prevents smart charging from working. |
The car is stuck in "Awaiting connection" and does not how as home in the Tibber-app. | Check if “Private mode” has been turned on in the car settings. “Private” will prevent the car from sharing it’s location with us. If we don’t know the location we will assume the car is not home. |
I can't pair my Skoda to Tibber. | You need to accept new T&C in MySkoda-app. They should pop up when opening the app. If not, delete app-cache and log into Skoda-app again to make them appear. You can try to pair to Tibber after confirming T&C. |
Citigo: This model is not supported by Skoda's API. It can not be added to the app with the Skoda power-up. | Add your Citigo as a "non-integrated" car if you have a charger that is supported by Tibber. |
